Fake tweet generator
The full generator with every option, starting from a plain light-mode post you can rebuild in a minute.
Free · no sign-up · nothing uploaded
Build an X (Twitter) post mockup that matches what people see today, or the 2022 Twitter look. Type a name, write the post, pick a checkmark and download. Open Advanced when you need polls, quote posts, threads, link cards, community notes or social-media sizes.
Fill in the profile, write the post, and press Download: the preview redraws on every keystroke, and the finished image never leaves your browser.
Display name, @username, a checkmark color and a photo from your device. No photo? You get initials on a colored circle, which reads as "fictional" at a glance.
Type the text and add up to four images. Advanced mode adds polls, a quote post, a link card, a thread, a community note and labels like Pinned or Edited.
Post only at 1x to 3x, or framed for Instagram, Stories, LinkedIn, YouTube or a 16:9 slide. PNG, JPG, transparent PNG or straight to your clipboard.
Any public-facing piece of an X post: the 2026 post page, a timeline row or the 2022 Twitter look, with every element people expect to see.
The opened post as x.com shows it today, the compact timeline row, and classic Twitter with Retweets, Quote Tweets and the app name. Light, Dim or Lights out.
Blue for Premium, gold for businesses (with the square photo X uses for them), gray for government accounts, plus an affiliate badge and the protected-account lock.
One to four images in X's grid, a video poster with play button and length, GIF and ALT badges, and link cards in large or small style.
Open polls, voted polls with your check, or final results with percentages that add up to 100. Quote posts carry their own photo, checkmark and image.
Up to ten more posts under the main one. Thread posts link with the gray line; replies come from other accounts you make up.
Mentions, hashtags, cashtags and links turn blue. Emoji render in color, Arabic and Hebrew run right to left, and the counter weighs characters like X does.
1x, 2x or 3x sharpness, transparent PNG, background gradients, and sizes for Instagram, Stories, LinkedIn, YouTube and slides.
Auto-save, named drafts and a share link that rebuilds the post from the address bar, without your images and without a server.
We checked the popular free tools in November 2026; most cover the basics, but few combine polls, quotes, link cards, notes and threads, and some upload or watermark your image.

There's no universal best time to post on X. How to find yours from your analytics and audience time zones, what general patterns hold, and how to test it properly.
Yes. Every tool on the site is free, with no account, no forced watermark and no limit on how many images you make. The only mark is a small MOCKUP label, and you can switch it off after confirming the image is a parody, design comp or teaching example.
No. The post is drawn on a canvas inside your browser. Photos you pick are read from your device and never sent to a server, share links keep your settings in the part of the address browsers don't transmit, and the site has no analytics or tracking scripts.
The X layout follows x.com's 598-pixel post column as of 2026: the 40-pixel photo, name and username stacked beside it, 17-pixel post text, the time with the view count, and reply, repost, like, bookmark and share in one row. A timeline layout and a classic 2022 Twitter layout are one click away.
You can make a mockup, but presenting it as something a real person actually posted can be defamation or impersonation and breaks X's rules. Keep the label on, use fictional accounts where you can, and read the responsible use guide before sharing anything that names a real person.
A PNG or JPG of the post alone at 1x, 2x or 3x resolution, a transparent PNG, or the post centered on a background at Instagram square (1080 x 1080), portrait (1080 x 1350), story (1080 x 1920), LinkedIn (1200 x 627), YouTube thumbnail (1280 x 720) or 16:9 slide (1920 x 1080) size. You can also copy the image straight to your clipboard.
